Eleanor Adam - CV and Statement of Vision, November 2009

Eleanor Adam has been privileged to study with Sharon Sprung, Costa Vavagiakis and Mary Beth McKenzie.

Until December 2004 Eleanor Adam, working as Winky Adam, was a full time, award-winning illustrator for such diverse clients as Scholastic Books, The American Museum of Natural History and Mead Johnson.

Personal tragedy in the illness and death of her oldest son led Eleanor Adam to forgo commercial illustration and vigorously pursue a more personal and meaningful field, the drawing and painting in oil of the human figure, particularly portraits.

Eleanor Adam seeks to paint in a way that reflects above all an intimate and emotional connection to her subjects.
